Login to download demostration software The Advanced GEM80 Programmer is the latest generation of the programming package for the complete GEM80 range of PLC's including GEM80-100/200 series, GEM80-300/310 series, GEM80-400/500 series, IMAGEM, Paged Video, Programmable Serial Communications and ALSPA Micro 2 drives. The windows package provides extensive facilities for developing, documenting, testing and maintaing your applications. The Advanced GEM80 Programmer was designed to run under the latest version of Microsoft Windows including Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Advanced GEM80 programmer is the only tool you will require throughout the lifecycle for the GEM80 PLC’s. With its enhanced security facilities the AGP has the ability to determine which user has access to write, download or run data into the GEM80 program.
The AGP is available in two versions - the Standard and Professional. Each version is supplied on a CDROM together with a software activation key (Sak or dongle), programming cable and electronic version of the technical manual.
Note: AGP Packages are supplied with the RS232 lead as standard to work with GEM80-400/500 and 131. The AGP is user friendly and has a vast amount of help screens which are available in a standard windows format, which also includes full help on GEM80 Special functions.
New Features The AGP has all the features you would expect from a well designed programming tool such as Rung, Ladder and Table editing and monitoring. The AGP has the ability to import programs generated on other packages such as GEMESYS, Universal GEM80 Programmer (UGP), and the GEM80 Projects Programmer (GPP) - comprehensive mnemonics and data comments can then be added. The professional version allows remote access to GEM80 PLC’s via Ethernet such as a GEMLAN-T or GEM80-500 Ethernet module. It also has the capability to import CSV text files for mnemonics and import/export comments. It also has function key shortcuts in the Rung editor and the run overview to display multiple rungs.
The System Programmer to AGP conversion facility is designed to convert the ladder diagram program and associated documentation (Rung Comments, Mnemonics and Data Comments) from the system programmer to AGP via the serial link. Copies of the programs, in AGP format, from the following devices should be obtained by attaching the AGP to the device and saving the program in the normal way.
The Enhanced File Comparison allows you to perform an in-depth comparison between the project currently in the AGP and a file stored on disk. The Enhanced File Comparison compares the project logic (instructions and rung comments), P tables and finally the Addresses (and associated documentation - mnemonics, data comments etc.).
Block ViewThe Block View displays an outline of the currently loaded program in the AGP as a hierarchical tree of program blocks, similar to the way the Windows Explorer display the directory structure of the computer's disk drive. This window displays the number of rungs and number of blocks contained with the current program. Each block is numbered and alongside it is displayed part of any rung comments associated with it. A block with a "-" in a small square to the left of it means that the block can be collapsed by clicking on the "-" symbol, a block with a "+" in a small square to the left of it means that the block can be expanded (showing other blocks nested within the selected block) by clicking on the "+" symbol. Double clicking on a block will cause the rung containing the START block instruction for that block to be highlighted in the Ladder Summary. |
